Early warning fire detection to protect conveyors, product and plant
Many goods carried on conveyor systems, including biomass, black and brown coal, industrial confetti (for Energy From Waste plants), recycling products and sulphur, are highly combustible and have the potential to self-ignite.
If they should combust upon an unprotected belt, the likelihood is that the system will enable fire to spread into the holding hoppers, blending, crushing or other processing areas of the plant.
As part of the operators’ risk management policies, the installation of early warning detection along a conveyor susceptible to conditions of excessive heat can avoid catastrophic fire damage and substantial consequential losses.
We offer specialist fire detection products for industrial applications and are perfectly suited to conveyor systems. Several models are available including specialist sensors with ATEX certification for hazardous dust environments and there are also glass-free, stainless steel sensors designed for use in the food processing industry.

Stat-X^® highly-advanced fire suppression technology offers a highly compact and economical fire extinguishing solution. A Stat-X^® unit consists of an extremely rugged, hermetically sealed, stainless steel canister containing a stable, solid compound. The canister is durable and non-pressurised, and is capable of withstanding harsh, corrosive environments. In the event of a fire, Stat-X units automatically release ultrafine particles and propellant inert gasses which quickly and effectively extinguish fires without depleting oxygen levels and has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and zero Global Warming Potential (GWP).
Compared to traditional pressurised gas or chemical agent piped systems Stat-X® advanced technology is economical to install and own. No special storage space or distribution piping is needed. And since the Stat-X^® agent is generated only when the system actuates, you don’t have regular agent level inspections or containers to weigh and hydro-test over the years. When discharged, the aerosol agent remains buoyant protecting the space for an extended period of time. Afterwards, it is easily vented out for clean-up leaving little residue. Spent Stat-X^® units are simply replaced and the system can be restored.

The Inert Pressure Relief Damper Fire Integrity Section is fitted with balanced weighted blades, hinged on stainless steel rods and bronze bearings. The precision engineering and blade overlap provides a positive shutter to the wall opening and minimum leakage
Intrinsic Sound Absorption
All Pressure Relief Dampers are available with an external Self Closing Door or ‘Cat Flap’, held in place with a magnetic catch. This provides weather proofing when used on external walls, an intrinsic sound barrier and a positive air, dust & noise seal
Thermal Barrier
The Self Closing Door or ‘Cat Flap’ will provide a natural thermal barrier between the two areas, ideal when fitted in external walls. This will help to prevent condensation forming on the Inner Fire Section blades. Additional insulation can be fitted to increase the thermal and sound absorption characteristics
